St. Louis Cardinals and Lou Brock join efforts to support Camp EDI-The Ed and Gloria Hirsch Camp for Children With Diabetes

The St. Louis Cardinals, through Cardinals Care, raised $25,000 in honor of Hall of Famer Lou Brock, for the American Diabetes Association's Camp EDI – The Ed and Gloria Hirsch Camp for Children With Diabetes. Camper Ava Leidenfrost (pictured on right with her family) threw the first pitch at Monday’s game against the Cubs to Lou Brock (pictured here with his wife and son). Lou is making the rounds after his recovery from a leg amputation last year due to diabetes.
“When you look at the people who got involved to give you their support, it just makes you over whelmed as a person,” said Lou. #STLisLou.
American Diabetes Association Camps provide an opportunity for kids with diabetes to have one of the best times of the summer and one that they will always remember.
